QUICK NEWS AND UPDATES - April 2018
I’ve had an initial meeting with Welsh Water to discuss their proposals for improving the reservoir. They have a pot of money to spend and working alongside our Community Council I hope to have a sensible way forward which allows our best community asset to be looked after and preserved. As I have said many times before we need the basics sorted (bins emptying) to the more long term sustainable elements (path surfaces, car parks). I have organised a meeting for late April and will update you all in May.

Swiss Valley community centre will receive over £30,000 of investment . Some £23,000 will be spent on structural works, and around £4000 on a new kitchen.
Following reports of dumping I drove around the lanes of Swiss Valley and had occasion to report several articles of itter and bags dumped. Its the scourge of our society and there is no need for it. I had to report some of the contents to the police due to their potential illegal nature.
Go-safe Wales will be attending the 20mph zone again this month with their speed vans, which I note were successful throughout 2017 with enforcement, resulting in a total of 93 detected offences being dealt with.
LLETHRI ROAD - DANGEROUS PARKING
Letters will be sent out shortly to affected residents regarding this issue.
We didn’t get the funding for this device so I’m looking at alternative solutions/sources.
I’m currently investigating if anything can be done having had many reports of people fed up of seeing horse droppings all over our community. As it stands now horses have every right on the highway so not sure if anything can be done here other than to ask local riding clubs to respect our community.
