Every Friday evening between 6:30pm and 8pm during term time there is a Youth Club running in Swiss Valley.  The Youth Club is run by local volunteers, Sarah Fry and Giles Morgan. The youth club is in the community centre and has various activities and attractions.

The youth club is now in its 7th year and is very popular.

There is lots to do.  We have an Xbox console, Wii with large screen projector, pool table and table tennis, air hockey game plus a chill out zone for older members. A tuck shop is also available.

No entry charge at present.  Bring money for the tuck shop though. Age range 8-16 yrs.

Youth Club runs most Friday’s during the school term from 6:30pm until 8pm.

In July 1014 (11-7-14) Swiss Valley Youth Club celebrated it’s 5th birthday.  We secured a £5000 grant from “Awards for All” in 2009, and haven’t looked back since.  Numbers fluctuate as with all clubs but we now have a loyal following and regularly have 20-40 kids enjoying on a Friday evening.

To celebrate we had FREE hot dogs and a bit of a buffet (posh I know!), plus chocolate bars for dessert.

At present our finances allow us to offer free entry (waiving the usual £1 fee).  This is constantly kept under review but if we can offer the service with no charges then we will.

The Llanelli Star came up and took a few snaps of the occasion, and we even let their photographer have a hot dog on the house too!

Thanks’s to volunteers Sarah Fry and Sian Musselwhite, without them, it would simply close.
